U-Turn the Wheel

On Friday 25 October, normal lessons for Year 11 were replaced by a very valuable road safety program, U-Turn the Wheel. The program is co-ordinated by Rotary and the Sutherland Shire Council. Students took part in 6 interactive workshops aimed at educating young drivers to deal with many of the challenges they will encounter on the road. The workshops promoted individual responsibility for the choices they make. The sessions on the day were:

  • Picking up the Pieces – NSW ambulance service
  • Keeping your L’s and P’s – NSW Highway patrol officer
  • Driver Distractions – Youthsafe
  • New Driver Survivor – Trent Driving School
  • Being fit to drive – 2Connect Youth & Community
  • Buying a safe used car – NRMA

Congratulations to Year 11 who actively engaged in the program.
