Prefect’s Pal-entine’s Day

Key Points

  • An initiative organised by the Prefects saw students across the school purchasing roses for their friends with messages of kindness
  • Positive atmosphere with many students participating in face painting at lunch time, helping raise funds for Year 12’s end of year activities.

Our Valentine’s Day celebrations were in full swing again this year with our Prefect Cupids spreading messages of kindness and friendship across the school. An initiative organised by the Prefects each year, the celebrations assist in raising money for Year 12’s end of year graduation activities.

Staff and students could purchase a rose for their colleagues and peers accompanied by a message of kindness that was delivered by our Perfects on Friday morning, 14th February. Our Prefects were kept very busy, with so many staff and students participating in the initiative to spread happiness and messages of friendship across the school.

This year, our Prefect Cupids also held a successful face painting stall in the Canteen at lunch-time for a gold coin donation, which saw many student’s painted with hearts to support the day. It was wonderful to see our entire Year 12 student body supporting the initiative too, wearing a heart pinned to their shirts as organised by their Year Adviser, Ms Osborne.

Congratulations to the Prefects on a highly successful Pal-entines Day!
