Our Senior Academic Guidance Sessions were launched last year to provide our Year 12 students with targeted study skills support. Developed and run by our Head Teacher team, our HSC students attend small group sessions that are focused on providing them with the skills, ideas and resources to engage in successful study and work towards their best in their assessment tasks and ultimately their HSC exams.
Over the last fortnight, our Year 11 students engaged in their first two Academic Guidance sessions focused on organisation. From exploring task-based study techniques and planners, identifying and tracking their upcoming assessments to accessing and identifying key points from their subject syllabuses, our Head Teachers led their individualised groups through those targeted skills that would assist students in their first round of HSC Assessment tasks this term.
The program was highly regarded by our finishing Year 12 students this year with many of our students providing feedback that they valued the information and ideas our Head Teachers shared with them. Watch this space as there is more to come!
