- A special congratulations to our Principal, Mr Peter Marsh, on the most deserving recognition he received on Tuesday, presented with a NSW Government Community Service Award presented by our local member for Miranda MP, Eleni Petinos.
- Ms Petinos surprised us all with a presentation of Mr Marsh’s award at our Year 11 Formal Assembly to acknowledge his outstanding service to the Gymea community bringing innovation and enthusiasm that is centred around students, parents and his staff.
We are very lucky at Gymea to have an incredibly hard working Principal, Mr Peter Marsh who is often described as a visionary. Someone who is always forward planning to bring about exciting, relevant and timely opportunities for our students and our staff here at school every day. Many would not see the dedicated hours that go into bringing about these changes and opportunities for our school community, a testament to the commitment Mr Marsh has in ensuring quality education and pathway possibilities for every single student here at Gymea.
Mr Marsh was recognised for his significant and consistent contribution to our community through a Government Community Service Award. Nominated by our local Member for Miranda, Ms Eleni Petinos MP, Ms Petinos joined our Year 11 Formal Assembly on Tuesday morning to surprise us all with the presentation of this award to Mr Marsh on stage.
Ms Petinos spoke about leadership being about recognising and serving the needs of others, through innovation and enthusiasm, linking this to the drive Mr Marsh has to look after the individual needs of every student and their families in our school.
We wish our warmest and most heartfelt congratulations to Mr Marsh on this most deserving recognition. Within our school, we know how hard he works to support our students, teachers, families and support staff across the school and we are so proud that he was recognised for his service to our community.
Congratulations, Mr Marsh!
